GLP-1 Workouts

Are you taking Ozempic? Becoming “skinny fat”?

If you are using a semaglutide or GLP-1 weight loss drug, a doctor might advise you to exercise to maintain muscle.  Depending on the medication, individuals can lose between 25% and 50% of their lean body mass, leading to reductions in bone density,  functional strength, and impaired metabolic health due to the caloric intake deficit.

In most cases, people taking these drugs are beginners or brand new to exercise and strength training or have exhausted all other avenues to lose weight. This can be very overwhelming!

I now offer GLP-1 workouts to help you build and maintain muscle mass by prioritizing strength training over cardio. My GLP-1 Program includes education on nutrition, mindset, and habit coaching. Together, we will create a healthy lifestyle that accelerates your weight loss goals and strengthens your body, mind, and lifestyle.

Functional Strength Training

Functional training focuses on exercises that mimic real-life movements to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance for everyday activities. It emphasizes movements that engage multiple muscle groups and joints simultaneously, promoting better overall functionality and reducing the risk of injury.

By targeting movements relevant to daily life, such as squatting, lifting, pushing, and pulling, functional training helps individuals develop practical strength and mobility for enhanced performance in both athletic pursuits and daily tasks.

Each session begins with a warm-up and stretching. We will move through your program which has been personally tailored to your needs and level with short breaks. I will incorporate short bursts of cardio movement, also known as HIIT. The session will end with a cool-down and stretching as well.

Yoga

Enhance your strength and flexibility to elevate your life on and off the mat. Book a private yoga session or incorporate it with your strength training. I am flexible to your needs.

Yoga can benefit people of any fitness level, it helps reduce stress, helps promote self-acceptance and draws focus from outward appearance to inward contemplation and self-improvement. Yoga is free of criticism, judgment and comparison of oneself to others.

Throughout its long history, which stretches back to the beginning of human civilization, yoga has guided practitioners in correct living, physical vitality, spirituality, and the path to enlightenment.
